About

Goalympus is an independent, fan-made browser game. You draft an XI from historic squads and simulate a season in the modern 36-team format. Goalympus is Goal + Olympus: the mountain of the football gods.

The squads are teams that won, or reached the final, semi-final or quarter-final of, the European Cup / UEFA Champions League between 1993 and 2025.

Player ratings are calculated by our own formula from public facts (the team result, the player role that season and Ballon d’Or rankings). They are not taken from any video game.

Sources: squad facts are compiled mainly from Wikipedia (CC BY-SA 4.0) and RSSSF, the Rec.Sport.Soccer Statistics Foundation (thanks to its authors), plus other public match records.
